Running around

The other night Nutella was running down the sidewalk when she saw our friend Parker (our friend who loves birdwatching). She yelled his name hoping to say hi as she passed but when he heard her he started to run in the other direction. Her natural response: "I saw an owl!" Parker stops! "Really?" As she runs past him she responds, "No, I just wanted to get your attention! I have to go, bye."

You sounded really good!

This one is actually about me and our friend Feather. A small group of us decided to go check out a band playing at the local Sammy's (Rexburg's is 10x's better than Provo's). While Feather and I were standing near the condiments table this guy comments to us about how funny it was that they had a ton of ketchup (which no one wants) but a tiny thing of fry sauce (apparently Sammy's fry sauce is real good). This started a casual conversation between the three of us.

When fry sauce guy (Nick) mentioned that I looked familiar Feather jumps in with the ever so cliche, "Well, what's your major?"..."Oh, I actually just played before this guy (Allred)."- Nick. Uhhhhh... Of course, of course we we were chatting with the guy that just performed and had no idea. That must have been a great boost to his ego! I decided to save us all with, "Well, we couldn't really see from." "But you sounded really good!" - Feather. Needless to say we said a nice, awkward "have a good night" and felt bad. He didn't try to sell us one of their CD's later.

Wrong bathroom...?

The recounting of this story started with, "I've been waiting to tell you this story all day and I can't wait a second longer!" So worth the wait.

As she was working in the library, she had to go to the restroom. As she walked in she noticed an individual with very short hair, a large hoodie and baggy pants sitting in the special Mother's chair. Becoming suddenly concerned she slowly backs out of the bathroom door and checks the sign. Yes, it was the women's bathroom and yes that individual is a girl and just awkwardly waved for her to come in.
On the bright side, at least everyone was in the right place!

Classic

For this post we have a guest star: Bread (again the name has been changed to protect the awkward). Bread and I were walking home from the library last night when we ran into a mutual friend. This friend was walking with a classmate of his, Jeff, who also happened to have a seeing-eye dog at his side. We chatted for a moment on the sidewalk before Bread and I needed to get going. Then, as we were walking away, I tell the Jeff it was nice to meet him and have a good night, while Bread says one thing, "It was good to see...you...Jeff..." (awkward turn and speed-walk away). After walking a feet feet he turned to me; "You know when you say something as it's coming out of your mouth you realize you shouldn't have said it?...YEAH!"

Don't judge me!

Today was the first day of the semester...thus the first day of work for Nutella! Their main office is their boss' office while the other is under construction. Said office was completely empty while Tella was working so, "Don't judge me, but I picked my nose!"

She then got worried that there was a camera in the room and looking around spotted a small camera on top of the computer. Though she knew this was probably just a webcam, the fear that her computer-geek boss nanny-cammed his office was still at the back of her mind and throughout the remainder of her shift would occasionally glance at it and smile...just in case!

Multi-tasking...

Nutella and Lech are back together...let the adventures begin!

We were catching up last night and getting ready for bed. Nutella was trying to get dressed AND tell me a story about getting a job (also a funny story). She was struggling a bit, either changing or adding to the story. At one point she stops everything, looks at me and says, "Sorry I can't multi-task, I'll tell you the story and then i'll get dressed."

I have missed her :)
