Nutella Day

Unfortunately, no one told me that February 5th was World Nutella Day!!! I always thought there should be a day for the whole world to celebrate the awesomeness of our Friend. I'm glad the universe has responded. Sorry we missed it (we'll do something great next year!). In the meantime, I think everyone should send Nutella 5 texts about why they love her so much or why she is so amazing! It'll be a belated celebration!

Boys

Nutella and I chatted on the phone the other and she told me this story.

Being the outgoing, friendly person that she is, she invited a friend to play basketball with her and some other friends. Unfortunately, she had forgotten about some family plans that she had previously made so when this friend (we'll call him - Steve) showed up at the basketball game, he was a little confused as to why she wasn't there.

When she returned home from her family event, she felt bad about what happened. So, she ran over to his apartment to explain what happened and to apologize. Due to the lateness of the hour she expected a quiet apartment and hoped he might even already be asleep. But that wouldn't be awkward enough! Instead there was an apartment full of strangers whose movie was interrupted by this girl barging in and looking for Steve.

When he wasn't in the front room she held onto the hope that he was already asleep, but his roommate assured her that he was just back in his room. While waiting for the roommate to fetch him, she explained to everyone what she needed to tell Steve, then she realized they didn't need to know.

When he finally came out, she realized that this was all a bit much to explain a simple scheduling error. Despite the error and the awkwardness they are still friends.

Until Nutella Steps Up...

This is a fun text she sent me the other day:

"I ripped my pants today. While on a ladder...Yeah...A little too much fresh air."

Turns out she was on a portable elevator working in the gallery and they ripped where everyone could see. I'm sure she handled it like a champ though!

(btw - my pants also ripped that day, and I walked all through Target and around the house like that before I figured it out. "Our pants must miss each other!"-Nutella)

Bad News

So, due to growing up and graduations, etc, Nutella and I are no longer rooming together :( I am trying to talk her into keeping this going and posting funny things that happen to her (then I can read them too!) but she's not sold on the idea yet. Can you guys help me out?

Chocolate Gone Wrong

The other night I came home to this note from Nutella:

"Funny for the day...I came home after running & found chocolate on the back of my pants. I am sure that is what everyone else thought it was too... ;)"

Tella Texts

Nutella has a very crazy life which often causes her to text without really reading what she just typed. Here are some recent favorites.

After discovering the spray room we wanted to get in, so Nutella left us to it. A few minutes later, she texted me to ask, "Did you figure out the pray room?" She's more spiritual than us.

While discussing check outs for the apartment, Nutella stated that she would "do what the majority derides."

And sometimes they just don't make any sense.
"I needde to grinned wheat but i an almost finished."

Ah, technological communication!

Date Night

Nutella was on a date last night and had some fun experiences. 

Part of the date involved an improv show where the actor turned to Nutella and said, "Give us a good Santa laugh." So, Tella tried but it came out "more like a tired, drunk Santa."

Then she remembered that she had to close up the gallery for work. Well, of course there was no way to get out without causing a scene...so they did. After taking care of business her date suggested they run back to catch the end of the show. Although Nutella wanted to just watch from the door for the last few minutes, her date ran into and she was forced to follow - again causing a scene.

Needless to say she probably won't be going out with him anytime soon, but we had a good laugh about it afterwards.
