Go for the neck

I'm never around Tella these days so I haven't had any funny anecdotes but here's a past experience.

Our friend Tella has this funny quirk that when you touch her neck (or if she knows you're thinking about it) she scrunches up like a turtle and makes a funky face. The other day, she asked me to wake her up from a study-break-nap so I did. She wasn't really "awake" though so I decided to help her wake up by poking her neck. She didn't like this though and in retaliation tried to poke me in the neck. However, putting your finger against the neck of someone who doesn't have the same neck quirk doesn't get you too far...I'm just saying

Ice Cream

Here at the Jerusalem Center we have a strict dress code and therefore lovely tan lines. Yesterday, when noticing her sunburn next to her white skin and her tan arms Tella exclaimed, "Look! White, pink and chocolate. I'm Napoleon!"
Even better was how much explaining had to be done for some of the others to understand why this was funny on so many levels.

Abs of...

I didn't get to spend much time around Tella today but here's something that happened the other day:

When Tella was stretching Banana pretended to chop her in the stomach when Tella responded, "You'll break your hand...either that or it will disappear for a minute."

Silly Songs with Nutella

As we were discussing our other friend's birthday and the fact that none of us have prepared an adequate celebration because we are all stressed about a paper due Sunday. While throwing around ideas Tella mentioned playing with the girls's hair in lots of fun ways to help her decide how to do it for her wedding. As she does this, the explanation turned into a nice little song about hair! It was very entertaining for all of us ;)

It's always about food

As we were studying in the Shekel Shack today Tella found a collection of nice smelling things that someone had left on a table. Normally we would be less inclined to just use other people's things but we are one big happy family here so she decided to put one on. Having found a bottle of coconut-lime body spray she spritzed herself and then declared, "Look! Now I smell like food!!!" And she danced around me waving her arms so I too could enjoy this smell on her ;)
 

The Joy of Nutella

Allow me to introduce you to our wonderful friend Nutella (to protect the privacy of the awkward Nutella's real name will not be disclosed). Nutella (or often referred to simply as Tella to save time and finger energy) is fantastic! Her smile warms our hearts, her laugh brings us joy and she often does things that make us laugh real hard! This blog is dedicated to those little things and I hope it brings you as much joy to read about them as it brings me to experience them (otherwise I would not be sharing them with you!)
